Java Applications Developer / J2EE. Derby, East Midlands. You will provide input into the design, development and delivery of an enterprise level application and work alongside an external development partner or internal teams. Understand the business requirements of an application to ensure that any development or maintenance meets the customers business requirements and the agreed design. Be able to understand and use recognised frameworks, design patterns, tools and standards in relation to Java and J2EE. Input into impact assessments for Requests for Change and provide estimates for development and delivery. You will need a minimum of 3 years Java and J2EE experience working with enterprise level applications in a clustered environment (using a mixture of JSP, Servlets, EJBs, web services, XML and Ant/Maven). Experience and understanding of J2EE application servers, Oracle RDBMS 9i or 10g and SQL. Any knowledge of BEA WebLogic (Server, Portal and Workshop IDE), Eclipse, Test Driven Development via JUnit. Spring and Hibernate, UML or have a Sun certification in a java related subject. |
