C# Software Developer - with a strong background using .NET, VB6, Oracle and SQL Server - required for a position with a leading medical software vendor based in Chertsey, Surrey. The successful candidate must come from a strong software development background, having successful commercial experience using .NET (C#, ASP.Net, Winforms, ADO.Net), VB6 (COM/ActiveX components, Win 32 Client, ADO), Oracle (9i or above, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures) and SQL Server (2000 or above, TSQL, Stored Procedures). The client currently uses a mixture of C# and VB6, so it is vital that you have experience in both areas. It would also be an advantage for you to have experience using UML, OOAD, VSS or SourceOffSite, VISIO or Enterprise Architect, and experience working within an agile development framework (preferably SCRUM and XP). Ideally you will be Microsoft certified. The role requires a senior developer to work alongside the current development team, assisting on a number of different projects, and so knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle is vital.
